Full Stack Developer

Our client is on an exciting journey – they are an upcoming digital assets platform for the New Zealand market with an institutional-grade cold custody solution that makes it easy for businesses and individuals to buy, sell and store cryptocurrencies.

This is a freelance / contract role for a Full Stack Developer, where you will work a mix of being in-house and remote.  You will be responsible for building and maintaining the functional implementation of software applications, user interfaces, and databases.  The platform is built with Laravel and React.

Experience Required:

  • Developing full stack web applications, with a deep understanding of front-end web languages (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) and back-end server scripting languages (preferably PHP, Laravel and/or Symfony)
  • Modern front-end JavaScript frameworks (preferably React)
  • Cloud-based infrastructure (preferably AWS)
  • Database management and administration (preferably PostgreSQL)
  • Secure coding, debugging, and software life cycle development practices
  • Implementing integrations with external systems and writing unit tests
  • Experience in using git and Linux
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, or a related field

 

About you:

  •      You have 5 or more years of software development experience
  •      Experience includes PHP, Laravel and or Symfony, and working with Laravel and React
  •      You have written unit tests before and understand why this is important
  •      You will have successfully implemented integrations with external systems before
  •      You are very comfortable using git and Linux
