Day-to-day responsibilities will involve working alongside a Senior Back End Developer and a Front End Developer to make their platform even more kickass by implementing and deploying new features and functionalities. You’ll also be refactoring their code base and creating unit testing to better secure their platform. The Front End of their platform consists mostly of HTML5 and CSS with Bootstrap as the basis for much of the responsive abilities. There is some use of jQuery, although they plan to move towards using a JavaScript framework for both the web platform and the course material. Their platform products currently run off a PHP backend using the popular Laravel framework, all running on Amazon Cloud services running Ubuntu. They also use development and deployment tools such as Git, Gulp, NPM and Composer.
