Senior Comms / Brand Planner
Located in the heart of Auckland city, our client is a full-service agency with an impressive stable of clients and a big vision. With recent evolution in the business, both in structure, leadership and a more co-creative approach to working with clients, they are looking for a motivated intermediate to senior level comms/brand planner to join their team. The primary focus of this role is to help their clients achieve sustainable growth through the delivery of impactful creative communications. You could be a high intermediate level looking to step into a senior role, or a senior looking for a fresh challenge. Either way you’ll be ambitious, focussed and a self-starter that enjoys autonomy and working as part of a tight team. You will have 5+ years’ as an agency planner or strategist, with experience building and/or managing successful brands or campaigns across a range of verticals, familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, and when to apply them. You will have a solid understanding of the full marketing mix, including the emergence of data-driven and automated marketing. Solid digital knowledge is a must, as is an understanding of brand metrics and how to use data to track and understand communications effectiveness. As the ideal candidate you will be down to earth, with a pragmatic attitude and a willingness to roll the sleeves up and ‘get stuck in’ to the practical aspects of the role. You will be an outstanding communicator, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to effectively work across multiple projects at pace. You will have a positive attitude, with a good level of initiative and the ability to work independently. Reporting in to the Wellington based Head of Strategy, you will work with him to design and refine the way the agency delivers integrated strategy across creative, data and technology, whilst being able to work closely on a day to day with the Auckland team. The purpose of this role is to provide support to the Communications Manager and wider Commercial team; developing communications activities that promote a positive public image and understanding of the organisation.
